I thought that this was an interesting photo of the Mars landscape - had great design elements and flow.

New Metal.... art and photography

A few things about this caught my eye/ attention. First off that it is just a cool photo - but then in reading the article about the new metal... It sounds like the process used to create the metal pattern is a form of photography kinda like the making of a photogram. It made me wonder what kind of artwork it could create. 1 YEAR!

Wow!! It's been a LONG year!!! MANY ups and downs.... When we first started we thought that it was going to be kinda easy and a quick project to get off the ground... but then planning took a bit longer then we thought, then a few set backs and it almost was cancelled a few times. We hit some great strides and then hit a huge LOW - and it was THIS close to us just giving up... but... It's been a year and we are still around and things are going good! We even have some new ideas and plans and some other magazines in the works! Happy Birthday ImageSpaces!

RIP: Gilbert "Magu" Lujan

Chicano artist Gilbert "Magu" Lujan passed away over the weekend after battling cancer, but his work and efforts in bringing Chicano art to national attention will not be forgotten. His work is seen each day by hundreds of people who take get on and off at the Metro Red Line Station and Hollywood and Vine. His colorful and energetic work can be seen inset into the walls on a bunch of tiles. Also you can see more of his work on his website: magulandia.

Next month there will be an exhibition of his work celebrating his achievements - More details to come.
